The Cornerstone Society is a group of donors who have included Beacon in their wills or other estate plans.
Membership in The Cornerstone Society demonstrates a lasting commitment to ending homelessness.
We are grateful for those who have chosen to make The Cornerstone Society part of their legacy. Read why this retired financial planner and her spouse (pictured at right) and this former Peace Corps volunteer have made Beacon part of their estate plans.
How to become a member
Planned gifts include bequests, life income trusts and other deferred giving arrangements. Planned and pledged giving is especially important to Beacon’s long-term financial strength, supporting our ongoing new project development by funding the project management team’s pre-development work, our congregational organizers’ leadership building within congregations, and our legislative advocacy that strives to secure consistent public funding for housing and services. Your private investment leverages public funds that greatly compound the impact of your gift.
A bequest of any size qualifies a donor for membership in The Cornerstone Society.
Please seek advice from a financial planner or tax professional about including Beacon in your estate planning.

Invest in Beacon
There are several ways you can support Beacon through charitable planned giving. Please talk to your financial advisor to determine the best options for you.
You may wish to make a bequest, that is, a gift to Beacon by designating the organization as a beneficiary in your will.
A bequest can be made for a specific amount or as a percentage of the total estate, and may be unrestricted or designated to support a particular program area.
Some people may want to explore gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts or charitable lead trusts. Please consult your financial advisor to find out more about these options.
Please call Sarah Mollet Staiger at 651-789-6260 x208 if you would like to explore planned giving to Beacon.
