Our ACE intern through January 2018, Deb is assisting with the annual Ending Homelessness Together luncheon. She has a B.A. in music from Earlham College and a Masters of Divinity from United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities. Ordained in 2016, Deb has been serving part-time as a Pastor in Shared Ministry with her spouse, Jan, at the Congregational Church of Faribault UCC (United Church of Christ) since June of 2015. Deb has more than 18 years of experience working with non-profit agencies, most of that time serving with the Minn-Kota Regional Office of Church World Service/CROP. While a seminarian, she served internships with Lutheran Social Service Refugee Services, the Institute for Welcoming Resources, and Plymouth Congregational Church, all in Minneapolis. She enjoys engaging in ministries of hospitality and extravagant welcome with people of many faiths, cultures and backgrounds. As a woman of faith, she is driven by a passion for helping build God’s beloved community locally and globally. Deb, Jan and their dog call both Faribault and Fridley their home and enjoy going for walks, working in their gardens, and spending time with Jan’s mom.
