The Families Moving Forward (FMF) shelter program has been an important part of Beacon’s work in the community for many years. Congregations support families experiencing homelessness by extending hospitality, providing nourishing meals, and offering a warm, safe place to rest.
Shelter guests work with Beacon case managers to address their unique needs and find support as they transition from a temporary shelter to an established home. While staying at our Program Centers, parents may search for a new home, do laundry, go to work, or search for a new job while their children play or go to school. Through the entire experience, we foster an environment of dignity and resilience.
