As we work toward a vision where “all people have a home,” we know that over 200,000 households struggle to pay rent at the beginning of every month. Housing insecurity jeopardizes the health of individuals, families, and communities, drives people toward homelessness, and increases racial disparities.

During our Rent Is Due meetings, we’ll gather as Beacon advocates to change this reality.

Together, we’re advocating for new policies that make it easier for all people to have a safe, affordable place to call home.

During our 30-minute virtual meeting, you’ll hear updates on our current campaigns, hear from special guests or elected officials, and receive concrete actions to help you advance our mission.

Rent is Due helps us connect to our work as housing advocates and take meaningful, collective action toward a brighter future where all people have a home.

Since these meetings started in 2020, our collective actions have helped bring that ideal future closer. Working together, we helped advocate for state legislators to approve a historic $2 billion in funding for supportive housing. We broke ground on several new apartment homes and paved the way for many more.

Together, we can move mountains.
