March 2025 News from Beacon

Beacon advocates lobby for change at the Minnesota Capitol
On Feb 11 and 18, 60 members and clergy from Beacon congregations visited 45 state representatives and senators to talk about home.
This year, advocates promoted a bipartisan bill to increase funding for family-supportive services. Beacon advocates also elevated the Our Future Starts at Home campaign for a constitutional amendment for housing.

Kimball Court renovation reaches another milestone
Beacon launched the renovation of Kimball Court apartments located in St. Paul’s Hamline Midway neighborhood in mid-February.
This project will add 22 new homes for adults in need of supportive housing. It will also improve the building’s security and create better spaces for residents to create community and meet with on-site service providers to set goals and chart individual pathways to stability and success.
