Coming Home to Great River Landing
Our collaborative has been waiting a long time to see Great River Landing move from dream to construction to home. We’re so excited to invite you to finally peak inside and see what your gift has helped create!
In August of 2019 Beacon and Better Futures Minnesota opened Great River Landing, 72 homes for men, primarily African American fathers, who have recently exited incarceration and experienced homelessness. Our plan was to celebrate this wonderful news with a huge Grand Opening event in May 2020. Then COVID-19 hit, a stay-at-home order was issued, and everything moved virtual.
We still wanted to celebrate GRL with you in person, however, so we postponed the Grand Opening to a time we could again gather. For today, we’re excited to celebrate digitally and bring you inside our latest Beacon home.
Together we work to see that all people have a home. Thank you to each individual who are helping us make this vision a reality.
