Voices for Prairie Pointe: Southwest Roundtable

Dylan Novacek December 18, 2020

The words “together we” are at the heart of everything we do at Beacon. It takes a collaborative to help see that all people have a home. As we continue our work to make Prairie Pointe and its 42 deeply affordable homes a reality, the voices of our congregational leaders are absolutely vital.

For Barbara Brookes from Waconia Moravian Church and Sarah Gavert from Hope Lutheran Church, their collective advocacy has helped push our work forward. Listen along to our Southwest Roundtable to learn more on what it takes to make our vision a reality.

Barbara and Sarah believe that home is a place of security and safety. And they know that there is a dire need to have more affordable homes in Scott and Carver county.

A seed of $15,000 per home is needed to help create each of these 42 apartments with onsite support services for families. Click here to read more on the people who make creating new homes possible and consider being a part of this work by making a gift today.
